Easter Weekend in the Highlands.
A visit back to Inverness.
Saturday
The River Ness and the Castle

Sunday

Breakfast at the Kingsmills Hotel
Chanonry Point on the Black Isle – Perfect for Dolphin Spotting
No dolphins today!
Fort George visible on the other side of the firth – worth a visit if you have time.
  
Next stop after a (recommended) detour through Dornoch past Grannies Heilan Hame was Dunrobin Castle
Well worth a visit (adults £10.50) – Dramatically perched on the firth with amazing views

The gardens must be wonderful in summer.  Also top left of the picture is where the Falconry displays take place.

Monday

Before we hit the road and with it being such a glorious morning we decided to have a walk round the Islands.  A beautiful river walk in the heart of Inverness.

Lovely river and castle views.

Time to hit the road and head home via the Moray Whisky trail but more about that another time!
