One of Scotland’s best-loved farm shops, Balgove Larder has reopened their famous Steak Barn, after completing a major refurbishment.

Opening in time for summer, this year marks the fifth year that the Steak Barn has been open and customers can enjoy the new covered veranda and bar area. Behind the scenes, improvements have also been made in the kitchen area.

This pop-up outdoor restaurant is set in a former sawmill and boasts rustic décor with walls of potato boxes creating the perfect informal eating space. With provenance at its heart, customers can enjoy a rustic menu of wood-fired bbq steaks and other delicacies, all of which are home-reared or sourced locally.

Carlos Martinez-Diaz, Events and Marketing Executive at Balgove Larder, said: “We are thrilled to reopen our renowned Steak Barn for the fifth year and giving people a summer to remember. The barn always proves to be extremely popular with locals and tourists alike and with our significant investment in the space, we feel that this year will be our best yet.

“We very much look forward to a summer of steak!”

Conceived from a love of fresh, Scottish produce, Balgove has become a hub for top notch locally reared, grown, stalked, caught, handmade, and prepared foods.

Based in the Kingdom of Fife, Balgove combines a Farm Shop with a Homestore, Flower Shed, as well as a Butchery, Café and the ever-popular Steak Barn.
