August 2017 sees Edinburgh throwing its first dedicated cocktail festival, organised and curated by Scottish creative agency The Drink Cabinet, in collaboration with Food + Flea Market.
Edinburgh Cocktail Festival will run for the duration of the Edinburgh International Festival (4 – 28th August), and will celebrate the city’s booming cocktail culture in a new and exciting area of urban regeneration, just off the Royal Mile.
Festival visitors can expect an array of cocktail bars, food-stalls, masterclasses, pop-up events, and live performances by emerging artists and DJs, under the canvas of the £200 million New Waverley development. Events include a Ketel One Vodka Bloody Mary Kitchen and Tanqueray Gin Forest, alongside a host of other innovative experiential experiences for consumers to enjoy throughout the month of August.
Edinburgh Cocktail Festival will provide the city with an exciting new platform for showcasing Edinburgh’s vibrant bar and cocktail scene, to international visitors and locals alike, at a peak time in the city’s festival calendar. Globally renowned brands will showcase their products, whilst local bars show off the city’s skills through masterclasses and takeovers.
