Farm to Fork – a celebration of Scotland’s wonderful larder
On Tuesday 21st June between 11am and 4pm St Andrew Square came alive with Scottish music, great food and hundreds of locals and tourists all enjoying the best of Scotland’s local larder.
The sun shone as the stallholders set up with all their fresh local produce. What a brilliant day to continue the celebrations of Edinburgh Farmer’s Market 15th birthday.
Local restaurants and chefs – Neil Forbes, Mark Greenaway, Victor and Carina Contini and The Gardeners Cottage all utilised produce from Edinburgh’s Farmers Market to cook up lunch for £3.00, which proved extremely popular and such a good deal.
I just missed the visit by the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, but the place was buzzing with news and pictures of their visit.
The birthday celebrations continue this week so be sure to pop along to this week’s market at Castle Terrace on Saturday. Random gifts of £15 will be handed out every hour!
