As temperatures continue to rise and festival anticipation builds, the award-winning Principal Edinburgh George Street Hotel unveils two seriously special spaces that offer a view of things to come with a rooftop bar and peaceful library haven this summer.
Available on selected weekend dates from 28thJuly and throughout August, to coincide with the Festival and the fireworks, threesixty:forth a new rooftop, pop-up private members bar with terrace and spectacular views of Edinburgh Castle, the Forth and city skyline. The principal pit-stop for alfresco cocktails, craft beers and champagne, this is an undiscovered gem in the City with its own concierge service and bar.

If you’re looking for a change of scenery, our new rooftop pop-up offers a secluded getaway for those in the know this summer. It’s been our hidden secret and a perfect place for our selected members and Principal friends to enjoy.
Launched as a pop-up to introduce the space to a new audience during the Festival, the reason for a members-only stance was primarily driven by the size of the space and the terrace. Karen added:
We’d love to open it up to everyone but realised that space is limited so had to dip our toes in the water re the pop-up with this in mind. There are other member bars and concepts out there but for us, it’s about creating the right ambience, something that little bit different for George Street during festival season. We’re aiming to be exclusive yet inclusive with private spaces for hire or for members to enjoy our hidden rooftop bar and terrace. You can gain access if you’re an invited member or you can seek out a member who’ll give you access to unparalleled views of Edinburgh and the fireworks.
Karen concluded:
The city comes alive during the Festival and we love the buzz and excitement but there’s something to be said for knowing you can escape to more secluded spaces where you can enjoy great service, great food, cocktails and drinks whilst taking in the views and watching the fireworks.
