Fortrose Cafe

Fortrose Cafe (Scottish Hospitality award winner 2018) was established in August 2014, situated in the Black Isle, 20 minutes North of Inverness and just off the NC500 route. Its a bright airy cafe with a warm welcome to all age groups and diets.

We pride ourselves in our home bakes and use of fresh local seasonal ingredients where ever possible. We understand the difficulty of those with different dietary requirements and therefore our menu includes vegan and GF options throughout.

Fortrose Cafe itself is accessible to all, there are no steps leading into the cafe and once through the wide doorway, the tables are well spaced out. There is a fully equipped disabled toilet with a fold down baby changing unit. We have decorated the toilet to aid those with visual impairments.

Going through the back of the cafe leads you to a walled garden with a paved area under our pergola and a large grassy level for the children. Dogs are welcome in the garden area. We have a large bike stand also. Customers order and pay at the counter which makes for a relaxing experience as you can order in your own time.

Your freshly prepared meal will be taken to your table.

Although our opening times are during the day; we provide outside catering at any location and at any time. From corporate catering at the Black Isle show and at local festivals to weddings and small intimate gatherings and business lunches. We can tailor the food to suit your event and budget.

We are a small family run cafe and we employ a team of fabulous individuals from the local area.

Fortrose Cafe completely relies on locals and tourists alike to support this small venture and in return, we will ensure your experience with us is fun and tasty.
