Good Brothers Wine Bar launches in Edinburgh today, boasting an impressive and extensive natural wine list that’s set to make them pioneers in Scotland’s wine trade.
Good Brothers will offer a selection of more than 100 wines from around the world, including over 50 organic, natural and biodynamic wines.
The natural wine movement is a phenomenon that’s exciting wine-lovers around the UK, and one that Edinburgh-born brothers, Rory and Graeme Sutherland, have now brought to the city’s Stockbridge area. An area that is recognised for its high-quality food and drink offerings.
Graeme Sutherland, Co-Founder of Good Brothers, said:
“We’re really passionate about what we do after years spent working in the wine industry. At Good Brothers we aim to change perception of natural wine and offer our customers an elegant, beautifully fresh drink with very little intervention. As people are much more switched on about where their food and drink comes from these days, we think it’s the perfect time to start spreading the word about these wines. So pop down to see us for your perfect pour or to try something a little different.”
Patrick Sullivan, renowned Australian natural wine maker, will officially launch Good Brothers at a private event this evening.
To accompany the wines, Head Chef Maciej Szczepanski has created a menu of classic Scottish cuisine with a twist, presenting small and large dishes that can be shared among friends, tapas-style, or enjoyed as a three-course meal.
Dishes include: roasted candy beetroot with whipped crowdie; smoked mackerel and caraway seed parfait; bavette of beef; pan-fried seabass.
Recognised by their peers as a real up-and-comers in the wine industry, Good Brothers already has a line-up of wine producers set to debut in the venue for tastings and pairings.
